WORD FROM THE
CEO

Greetings from the Commission!

Exciting things are happening within the industry- the first ever “Kenyan Oscars” is in its initial stages of preparation.

Our intention is to award excellence in TV and film and… it’s about time!!

We want to follow the Oscar tradition and if you look at our event, it’s a cross between the Emmys and the Oscars — the Emmys because of the TV and the Oscars because of film. The categories we have picked are also in many ways similar to what you would find at those awards.

THE PATRICIA SHOW

M-Net is happy to announce the launch of The Patricia Show – a brand new one hour talk show that will broadcast three times a week primetime across Africa from December 2008.
Presented by Patricia Amira this show promises to be the standard bearer for African TV featuring important stories and incisive, entertaining studio chat in front of a live studio audience. Produced in Nairobi by a dynamic team of young Kenyan professionals this is an exciting opportunity for Kenya, its personalities and professionals to broadcast their voices and stories across the continent.

We are looking for men and women from anywhere in Africa to be guests or audience on the following upcoming shows:

  1. Independant woman - She's successful in work or career and handling her finances and everything else without a partner. Men are wary of her because of her success. We want to know you and Africa needs to know why. Age group 30 and above. Shoot date: tentatively Thurs 13th Nov 2008.
  2. Raid your Wardrobe – what’s in your wardrobe and how can you make it work for you? We are looking for a range of women who have lots of clothes in their closet (you know what we mean!) and have no time to wear them or just don’t know how to wear what they have and look hot and glam for their age. Shoot date: tentatively Thurs 6th Nov 2008.
  3. Upcoming trends – what’s hip to the different age groups in the areas of music, performing arts, fashion and anything you can think off. What’s hip now and what will be hip tomorrow. Shoot date: tentatively Thurs 27th Nov 2008
  4. Eligible Bachelors - who are the most eligible bachelors in the region?? Do you know anyone?? They are in their mid 30's to mid 40's, successful, handsome - the perfect catch except they're not caught yet! Tell us who they are and better still how we can get them on the show. Shoot date: tentatively Wed 26th Nov 2008

We want to hear from you and so does the rest of Africa.
