The Women’s Panorama was held at the Nairobi Safari Club on October 27th 2008 as part of the K.I.F.F calendar of activities.
The forum’s key objective was to gather female film makers from Kenya to discuss the current state of film and how women continue to contribute towards its development.

The convenor of the workshop, Florence Sipala opened the forum with an invitation to participants to feel free to share their experiences and debate on current issues plaguing the film industry. Some of the key speakers at the forum included Victoria Goro (DFS), Lizzie Chongoti (KFC) and renowned actresses Nice Githinji. Their stories revolved around their experiences in this industry and where they started from.

Moderator Tracy Bing, who was in the country by invitation of the Commission pointed out some of the areas female film makers needed to improve on in order to have a more effective impact. Bing highlighted the fact that a more bold approach needs to be taken by those who want to develop their craft and the time to take the bull by the horns was now.
